I attend the Philadelphia Folk Festival religiously, but have not been so consistent about the Appel Farm Arts & Music Festival in Elmer, New Jersey, which is relatively nearby. I'm not sure why. It's actually been years since I've been to Appel Farm. But I definitely want to make it this year. With Ani DiFranco, Red Horse, and Runa, among others, how can you go wrong? Unlike other festivals, this one is on beautiful property with trees (and SHADE!).
